October Favorites

1. Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick

The formula on these Lipsticks is creamy and they smell delectable. It is long wearing, I wore the shade reckless for nearly four hours at a hockey game and it still looked great after all the yelling I did. After the main product wears off it leaves a stain on the lips that doesn’t wear off patchy at all. $3.00 (Ulta)

2. Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette

Soft and blendable this is an inexpensive palette that leaves a more natural look on the eyes. The only disadvantage, there is no matte shades. The shades on the left are ones that I tend to use if I want a more natural makeup look for work. $4.68 (Walmart)

3. MicaBeauty Gel Eyeliner

I try not to fall completely in love with high-end brands because I really don’t want to spend the money on it over and over again. However, when I got this in my BoxyCharm back in August I couldn’t help but fall in love. I’ve never really used gel eyeliners because the ones I tried at the drugstore were never black enough or they didn’t last long enough. This one lasts for days if you don’t use makeup remover at night. It’s a dark black and it goes on pretty evenly. $35.00 (Online)

4. Girl Meets World

The 90s kid in me couldn’t help but watch this when it came out back in 2014. Shawn Hunter was one of my childhood crushes and Cory and Topanga was a love that I dreamed of. I give everyone a part of this show kudos, because it stays true to the lightheartedness and dorkiness that Boy Meets World gave my generation. It also teaches about real world problems and talks about controversial topics that are unusual for Disney to do. I’m 24 but I DVR and watch every single episode.

5. Pentatonix Deluxe Edition

Acapella music has been making its rise since Pitch Perfect came out. I love acapella music, there’s nothing more amazing than making music using the one instrument that you were born with. Pentatonix broke the barriers because they are current, pop, and young. They make old songs sound new again. This album is amazing, and I if I have a small crush on Avi Kaplan, than so what, I’m a sucker for a good bass voice.

6. Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up

I’ve always said that I live my life through organized chaos. I’m not a naturally tidy person. You’ll often fine clothes and paper strewed all over my floor. I know where everything is in my room even if you can barely walk through it. Marie Kondo’s book didn’t change my life but it was an interesting read, and it got me thinking. I went through my wardrobe and got rid of over half my clothing. Only keeping the stuff I absolutely loved and that which I have to wear to work. I think this is a great read if you need some motivation to even make a small change in your life.

Listia.com is an auction website slightly similar to ebay.com but in my opinion a bit better. On Listia you use a credits system, you can gain credits by doing surveys, watching videos, selling products, and more. From here you can bid on any of the auctions that are going on, if you win the credits go to the person who is selling. You can also sell your products on here.

The thing I love most is that you don’t have to use any of your actual money if you don’t want to. A lot of seller’s offer free shipping and there’s a box you can check to only see the free shipping items. If you do choose to sell you can offer free shipping (thus having to pay for the shipping yourself) or set a price for shipping, in which there is actual money involved.

I have yet to pay a single penny for any of the items I’ve gotten on Listia (I’m still waiting on a few stickers that I won this past week for scrapbooking).

I also got a Mountain Dew Kickstart from Walgreens this week that was on sale for $1.00 and gave me a $1.00 Register Rewards (so basically it was free). I drank it during work on Wednesday so basically I got 21 items for $34.88!

♥♥♥,

Favorites of 2014!

Hi Everyone,

I can’t believe it’s the new year already, can you? 2014 wasn’t the best year for me, and to be honest I’m expecting a lot better from 2015. However, when it came to finding products that I can’t live without 2014 was actually pretty good! I’ve split this into two different posts; this is the beauty inspired one.

Christmas Beauty Bag for 16-22 Year Olds

It’s almost Thanksgiving & Black Friday. For the next couple days/weeks I’ll be doing gift ideas! I personally still think it's too early for Christmas stuff, but Black Friday is almost here and we are all looking for good sales. For the next 3 weeks I’ll be focusing on beauty & the women in your lives. Each of these weeks will have a similar concept but a different execution. They will all include a single staple piece, a makeup bag.

My To-Go Cosmetics Bag/Mid-Month Favorites:

So with my non-job & the fact that I’ve been sick since lately, I haven’t really had the time or money to try a whole lot of new products. However, I have been using what I consider to be the staples in my collection for the past couple months a lot. I recently spent the night at a friend’s where we went to a couple of my alumnus school’s hockey games (two days before I came down with strep). So of course I had to look good, because we were going out to the local “club” later that evening. So I brought my staple pieces that are known as my To-Go bag, which also happen to be the items that have been the past couple months favorites.
